Annika Anderson, a freshman at Glendale Community College, secured sixth place overall in the women's 5-kilometer race in 18:52 at the California Community College Athletic Association Southern California Championships at Mile Square Regional Park in Fountain Valley. Anderson helped Glendale take third overall with 132 points, advancing to the Nov. 20 state meet at Woodward Park in Fresno.
